Telrad can provide your business with Voice over IP technology (also known as IP telephony) using the following products:
VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol and is today's alternative to the traditional circuit switched telecoms model. Using Voice over IP (VoIP) it is now possible to route your phone calls, fax and voice mail communications through the Internet or Intranet (IP).
Voice over IP is a digital telecommunications format - the analogue voice signal is digitalized into data packets, sent, and then reconverted back into a voice signal at its destination. VoIP uses TCP/IP to travel across either a private network (Intranet) or across the Internet to its destination. The TCP/IP networks are made of IP packets containing a header (to control communication) and a payload to transport data. With VoIP it is possible to talk to one or more persons at once, and at the same time, you can exchange data with the people you are talking with - sending images, documents, graphs and videos, and all at a fraction of the cost of a conventional telephone call. Telrad offers a range of solutions and the system supports the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). SIP is emerging as the protocol of choice for setting up conferencing, telephony, multimedia and other types of communication sessions on the Internet. SIP may also be used for new types of communications, such as instant messaging and application level mobility across various networks, including wireless, and across user devices. TVSE VoIP and Application Server The TVSe Server enables VoIP technology for the the AdvanceIP system but as well as providing IP Telephony it also provides an application server and web portal for all users regardless of if they are IP phones or not. The server is Linux based offering unparalleled stability and reliability. The server gives support for the Avanti IP3015D station and integrates the i.Picasso with the AdvanceIP system. It also supports the Avanti SP15 Softphone and allows the system to utilize SIP trunks for system to system networking or remote SIP gateway support The TVSe server is managed via a web interface that can be accessed on site or remotely. An individual user can manage settings on their phone such as speed dials or call forward. i.Picasso In addition to providing a full feature PBX capability, the phone delivers utility Web-touch applications on the phone's screen, allowing users to converse on the telephone, while simultaneously tapping the power of the Internet. These applications are easily customizable based specifically on a customer's line of business or personal interests. For telecommuters, field employees and home office users, the i.Picasso 6000 provides full feature capability for the remote user including Call Centre capability. Advanced phone services include multi-access voice mail, automated attendant, URL assignment to an inbound or outbound call, personal address book and Web-based remote user management which allows simple remote upgrades to system software.
A World of Applications
Many ready-to-run applications can immediately be used with the i.Picasso. And for those enterprises with specialized requirements, new applications can be easily added using standard HTML. Here are just a few examples:
Main Features
Power over Ethernet (POE) The i.Picasso supports the 802.3af standard for power over LAN. Deploying Power over LAN in conjunction with a centralized UPS provides a cost-effective way to distribute back-up power and insures uninterrupted operation of IP stations during power failures. The cost of providing such protection on a station-by-station basis would be prohibitive. Power over LAN also eliminates the need for a bulky transformer being connected to the IP station locally. Power over LAN can be easily added to a network by purchase of an 802.3af compliant switch, or for existing LAN infrastructures the insertion of Power over LAN hubs. These hubs provide power, but have no switching capability, and are fully transparent to the existing data network. Avanti IP3015D The new Avanti IP3015D is not only fully IP-enabled, it is also fully feature enabled. The Avanti IP3015D supports all Telrad features from ACD to PBX.
The Avanti IP3015D comes equipped with 2 10/100 based RJ45 jacks. One jack (middle jack) connects the Avanti IP3015D to a Cable Modem, LAN, WAN or DSL connection. The second 10/100 jack is a switched connection allowing a user to connect their PC or Laptop through the Avanti IP3015D. The Avanti IP3015D supports IEEE 802.3AF Power over LAN. If Power over LAN is not used each Avanti IP3015D must have an Avanti Add-on desktop power supply. In the future the third RJ45 jack is for connecting add on units such as SLT Adapter or Trunk Add-on Module. The Avanti IP3015D is easy to install.
A comprehensive menu integrated into the Avanti IP3015D makes programming the IP address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway addresses a simple process. Features
